Installing an evaporator<\/span><\/a> utilizing the ESP+ Intuitive Evaporator Control Technology<\/span><\/a> is really quite simple. In most cases, it\u2019s two pipes, two wires and you\u2019re done. No interconnecting control wiring between the evaporator and the condensing unit is required. <\/span><\/p>\n

Although the physical setup is very easy, sometimes you need a little help learning about the technological side of the setup including how to change superheat using the on-board display. But that\u2019s what we\u2019re here for!<\/span><\/p>\n

To get started for this specific function you will need to access the Advanced Menu by pressing and holding the \u201cBack\u201d button until \u201ctS\u201d is displayed on the screen. Use the \u201c<\/span>\u2227<\/span>\u201d and \u201c<\/span>\u2228<\/span>\u201d arrows to navigate until \u201cStt\u201d appears which stands for \u2018superheat setpoint.\u2019 <\/span><\/p>\n

Once you have \u201cStt\u201d displayed, press \u201cEnter\u201d to toggle between the setpoint and its current value. Once the current value is displayed use the \u201c<\/span>\u2227<\/span>\u201d and \u201c<\/span>\u2228<\/span>\u201d arrows again to change the setting values. <\/span><\/p>\n

The default setting is always 8<\/span>\u221e<\/span> Fahrenheit and is adjustable up to a maximum of 30<\/span>\u221e<\/span> Fahrenheit and a minimum of 5<\/span>\u221e<\/span> Fahrenheit. To save the changed value, press \u201cEnter\u201d and hold for 3 seconds to confirm the setting. To exit this mode, simply press \u201cBack\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
