REFRIGERATION PRODUCT SPECIALIST & DESIGNER

Summary:

This role will be responsible for the creation and management of engineering bill of materials for designated product lines and custom equipment. These duties include: capacity calculation, component selection and creating piping and electrical diagrams with the main focus on application and design of supermarket type equipment. KeepRite Refrigeration products include unit coolers/ evaporators, condensing units, multi-compressor distributed systems, racks, air-cooled condensers, and fluid coolers.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Design refrigeration systems and select equipment based on parameters supplied or industry standards.
  • Responsible for the creation and management of engineering bill of materials for designated product lines, ensuring accuracy and quality, and its release to production
  • Receive, interpret and respond to sales or customer product-related inquiries via phone, fax, e-mail and other electronic means
  • Prepare quotations for customers and external sales personnel
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation
  • Liaison between contractors, customers, sales, engineering and manufacturing groups
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of 2-D and 3-D CAD software
  • Minimum 5+ Years of Refrigeration background or related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of refrigeration systems/ components and how to apply them
  • Commercial Refrigeration experience considered an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products and proficient in computer use

This role will primarily be responsible for providing front line technical support to sales, contractors and customers for various products and services offered by the company. Qualified candidates must have good people skills and be comfortable answering commercial refrigeration inquiries. The individual must also travel to occasional job site to solve problems with local refrigeration contractors. KeepRite Refrigeration products include unit coolers/ evaporators, condensing units, multi-compressor distributed systems, racks, air-cooled condensers, and fluid coolers.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Offer technical support/ troubleshooting expertise for field issues by phone or other electronic means and occasionally in person
  • Receive, interpret and respond to sales or customer product-related inquiries.
  • Design refrigeration systems and select equipment based on parameters supplied or industry standards.
  • Prepare quotations for customers and external sales personnel.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR – AFTERNOON SHIFT

Summary:

As a team player, you will be working in a flexible manufacturing environment. Your primary function will be supervising and coordinating the production activity of machine operators, assemblers and fabricators. You will ensure that all materials and work performed adheres to organizational standards, safety regulations and guidelines.

The successful candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills, be self-motivated to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment and have the ability to prioritize workload. A full understanding of the OHSA, JHSC 1 & 2, a strong knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, 2000, as well as experience in a union environment with ISO 9000 would be an asset.

Qualifications include:

  • Post-secondary education, or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years manufacturing supervisory experience preferred
  • Proven understanding and execution of Lean Manufacturing preferred
  • Possess knowledge and experience in labour relations
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and knowledge of MRP Software an asset
  • This position has the following core physical requirements:
    • Frequent walking and standing as well as stair climbing
    • Lifting over 20 lbs as required

ORDER ENTRY/ SERVICE PARTS/ WARRANTY CLERK (PART-TIME)

Summary:

Your primary function will be to provide order entry, service parts and warranty support to sales and customers. This includes responding to customers' inquiries via phone and or email, entering or processing any changes to orders, verifying the validity of warranty-related concerns and issues and maintaining updated files and documentation

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Receive, interpret and respond to sales or customers on order, parts or warranty-related inquiries.
  • Liaison between customers, sales, engineering and manufacturing groups.
  • Enter customer orders that are received.
  • Verify and edit orders received for pricing and model correctness.
  • Create and distribute extended warranty certificates.
  • Enter warranty credits based on company policies and procedures.
  • Verify the validity of warranty-related concerns and issues.
  • Analyze and process warranty inquiries/claims.
  • Relay pertinent order information/documentation internally and to customers.
  • Data management of service parts and warranty information/documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

  • High School Graduation Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in an office environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products and proficient in computer use
  • Fast, accurate data entry
  • Proficiency in English (Oral and Written)
  • Strong Communication and People Skills
  • Good telephone skills
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
