REFRIGERATION TROUBLESHOOTING/ PRODUCT SPECIALIST

Summary:

We are looking for a refrigeration mechanic who wants to consider making a move "inside". This role will primarily be responsible for providing front line technical support to sales, contractors and customers for various products and services offered by the company. Qualified candidates must have good people skills and be comfortable answering commercial refrigeration inquiries. The individual must also travel to occasional job site to solve problems with local refrigeration contractors. KeepRite Refrigeration products include unit coolers/ evaporators, condensing units, multi-compressor distributed systems, racks, air-cooled condensers, and fluid coolers.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Offer technical support/ troubleshooting expertise for field issues by phone or other electronic means and occasionally in person
  • Receive, interpret and respond to sales or customer product-related inquiries.
  • Design refrigeration systems and select equipment based on parameters supplied or industry standards.
  • Prepare quotations for customers and external sales personnel.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation.
  • Coordinate and participate in regular meetings with fellow team members within product groups.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Refrigeration License (313A) or Mechanical Engineering Technician Graduation Diploma or equivalent

PRODUCTION TECHNICIANS (AFTERNOON SHIFT)

Summary:

As a team player you will be working in a flexible manufacturing environment, operating large machines and various tools for the manufacture of commercial refrigeration equipment. You will ensure that all materials and work performed adheres to organizational standards, safety regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Abide by designated organizational, as well as provincial safety guidelines, at all times;
  • Follow all production procedures, as instructed, and perform all work to manufacturing specifications;

REFRIGERATION DESIGN ENGINEER

Summary:

This role will be responsible for engineering and designing customer orders. These duties include: capacity calculation, component selection, the use of AutoCAD and other related software to design parts, wiring diagrams and assembly drawings. The individual will work closely with industrial engineering, production, and lab technicians to ensure efficiency and resolve any problems with customer orders.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Engineering customer order: including capacity calculation, refrigeration component selection. For some special orders, new parts design using AutoCAD and Solid Edge is needed, including sheet metals, tubes, electrical wiring diagrams and detailed assembly drawings
  • Responsible for the creation and management of engineering bill of materials for designated product lines, ensuring accuracy and quality, and its timely release to production / manufacturing department.
  • Solving Production problems: working with Manufacturing Engineering and Production Department to optimize the material usage and assembly process, and to solve any problems.
  • Research and Development project works: including heat transfer and fluid dynamics calculation, new components and parts selection, cost optimization, new products design, preparing all drawings, setting up bills of materials.
  • Research and development lab work: including lab tests, lab equipment selection or design and equipment set-up.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of 2-D and 3-D CAD software
  • Refrigeration background and or experience considered an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products and proficient in computer use
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

National Refrigeration is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide office support in the Human Resources Department, including Reception desk coverage. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, require minimal supervision, and possesses strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. This position will utilize Microsoft Office, Windows, Jobscope (AS400), Ceridian DayForce and various other programs to complete daily tasks.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide coverage for reception/switchboard (daily – lunches and breaks)
  • Order and maintain office supplies as needed
  • Assist in monitoring daily attendance and COVID screening

National Refrigeration is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to be responsible for the administration of the company quality systems, maintenance, and compliance of the ISO9001 certification and be the quality leader to represent the company for quality concerns with suppliers and customers. The successful candidate will act as a coordinator with executive management as well as other members of the management team. This position requires a strong management presence, self-confidence, a highly self-motivated attitude, along with strong organizational and data analysis skills. Communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to utilize technology, including Microsoft Office, will be necessary to complete daily and ongoing tasks. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Act as the management representative for ISO9001 and ensure conformance and maintenance of the company’s certification 
  • Maintain ISO9001 internal audit program and facilitate management review 
  • Formulate and document the organization’s quality documents; coordinate the optimization of the quality program and customer satisfaction 
  • Oversee and maintain the company’s document control system 
  • Serve as a change agent to drive quality improvements. Coordinate and guide where issues bridge multiple departments to bring continuity to a unified effort, as required 
  • Oversee the development and deployment of quality analysis tools across the company 
  • Conduct special statistical studies and analysis of quality data and effectively deal with customer and supplier quality problems
