REFRIGERATION PRODUCT SPECIALIST & DESIGNER

Summary:

This role will be responsible for the creation and management of engineering bill of materials for designated product lines and custom equipment. These duties include: capacity calculation, component selection and creating piping and electrical diagrams with the main focus on application and design of supermarket type equipment. KeepRite Refrigeration products include unit coolers/ evaporators, condensing units, multi-compressor distributed systems, racks, air-cooled condensers, and fluid coolers.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Design refrigeration systems and select equipment based on parameters supplied or industry standards.
  • Responsible for the creation and management of engineering bill of materials for designated product lines, ensuring accuracy and quality, and its release to production
  • Receive, interpret and respond to sales or customer product-related inquiries via phone, fax, e-mail and other electronic means
  • Prepare quotations for customers and external sales personnel
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation
  • Liaison between contractors, customers, sales, engineering and manufacturing groups
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of 2-D and 3-D CAD software
  • Minimum 5+ Years of Refrigeration background or related experience
  • Strong working knowledge of refrigeration systems/ components and how to apply them
  • Commercial Refrigeration experience considered an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products and proficient in computer use

REFRIGERATION TROUBLESHOOTING/ PRODUCT SPECIALIST

Summary:

We are looking for a refrigeration mechanic who wants to consider making a move "inside". This role will primarily be responsible for providing front line technical support to sales, contractors and customers for various products and services offered by the company. Qualified candidates must have good people skills and be comfortable answering commercial refrigeration inquiries. The individual must also travel to occasional job site to solve problems with local refrigeration contractors. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Offer technical support/ troubleshooting expertise for field issues by phone or other electronic means and occasionally in person
  • Receive, interpret and respond to sales or customer product-related inquiries.
  • Design refrigeration systems and select equipment based on parameters supplied or industry standards.
  • Prepare quotations for customers and external sales personnel.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation.
  • Coordinate and participate in regular meetings with fellow team members within product groups.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Refrigeration License (313A) or Mechanical Engineering Technician Graduation Diploma or equivalent

  • Commercial Refrigeration experience considered an asset
  • Possess a valid passport with ability to travel occasionally in Canada or the U.S

PRODUCTION TECHNICIANS (AFTERNOON SHIFT)

Summary:

As a team player you will be working in a flexible manufacturing environment, operating large machines and various tools for the manufacture of commercial refrigeration equipment. You will ensure that all materials and work performed adheres to organizational standards, safety regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Abide by designated organizational, as well as provincial safety guidelines, at all times;
  • Follow all production procedures, as instructed, and perform all work to manufacturing specifications;
  • Work effectively, as part of a team, in a unionized environment to ensure quality and productivity;
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools related to the manufacture of commercial refrigerationequipment;
  • Ensure the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to;
  • Participate in educational and training sessions as necessary; and
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Strong working mechanical knowledge of machines and tools;
  • Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various assembly processes
  • College diploma, with preference given to industrial or mechanical engineering, electrical or HVAC, orequivalent work experience in a related field
  • Past brazing experience an asset
  • Committed to quality and safety
  • Flexible and adaptable to regular changes in assigned tasks
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced, labour-intensive manufacturing environment Core Physical requirements include the ability to:
  • Stand for the full shift (10 hours)
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 4:00 pm - 2:30 am

Wages: As per the CBA (Current Rate: Starts at $20.78 + 0.89 cents shift premium, CBA progressive wage scale will follow after)

WARRANTY CLERK (PART-TIME)

Summary:

The Warranty Clerk is responsible for supporting the Warranty Coordinator as well as Sales and Customers. This individual shall be detail oriented, require minimal supervision, and possesses strong communication, organizational, data entry, and analytical skills. This position will utilize Microsoft Office, Windows, NROES, Jobscope (AS400) and various other programs to complete daily tasks.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Process warranty related debit and credit memos based on company policies and procedures.
  • Receive, Interpret, and respond to warranty debit and credit memo related inquiries.
  • Create and distribute extended warranty certificates.
  • Assist with data management of warranty information/documentation.
  • Cover Warranty Coordinator duties as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

  • High School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years’ minimum experience working in an office environment.
  • Previous experience in warranty processing an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products and proficient in computer use

OFFICE SHIPPING CLERK (FULL-TIME)

Summary: This position will be responsible for shipping customer orders utilizing Jobscope (AS400) and Microsoft office programs. Liaison and communicate with various transportation companies and customers as well as internal department and sales personnel as required. Create, organize and issue shipping and customs documents.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Create, print and issue pick documents for warehouse and service personnel.
  • Coordinate product transfers from external warehouses.
  • Process shipping documents and contact carriers for all outbound shipments.
  • Prepare customs papers for export shipments.
  • Arrange customer pick up of ready orders. Liaison between carriers, customers, etc.
  • Review outstanding customer orders, expedite and advise customers concerning late orders.
  • Monitor the Open Order Report on all incoming orders and shipments and attend the Production Meetings.
  • Respond to all incoming calls and emails as efficiently as possible, and ensure that all callbacks are made within one hour.
  • Forward customer production questions to the Scheduling Coordinator or designate.
  • Maintain a filing system of all shipping and call reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

  • High School Graduation Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience in a shipping and logistics environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products and proficient in computer use
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Jobscope/ AS400 Experience considered an asset but not required
