ESP+ Tutorial #4 – Manual Defrost

ESP+ Intuitive Evaporator Control Tutorial Video

As part of KeepRite Refrigeration’s family of Smart3 System Saving Solutions, the ESP+ Intuitive Evaporator Control Technology helps to control your evaporator’s box temperature, superheat, defrost initiation, defrost termination, fan motors and defrost heater.

From time to time, you need to put the unit into manual defrost mode. To do this, simply press and hold “Enter” and the “” arrow until “ddF” displays.

The fans will continue to run for several minutes using stored cooling in the coil. Once the coil reaches room temperature the fans will stop, and the heaters will turn on to begin the electric defrost.

Once this happens, your ESP+ unit is in manual defrost mode. It’s as easy as 1, 2 and that’s it! No third step even necessary. The ease of using our ESP+ units is only one of the benefits of this intuitive evaporator control technology. See the chart below to compare how our ESP+ stacks up against our competitors.
