The 2015 AHR Expo Innovation Award in the Refrigeration category has been awarded to National Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Canada, Corp’s innovative LIMITROL+ Head Pressure Control System. The award recognizes the system’s breakthrough ability to respond to ambient conditions to deliver energy savings and reduced environmental impact, even in much colder ambient conditions where previous systems have proven ineffective.
John Murray, Executive Vice President of National Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Canada has announced his company’s 2015 AHR Expo Innovation Award saying, “Our entire team is very proud to be given one of the highest honors in our industry for our innovative LIMITROL+ Head Pressure Control System. To be recognized by our peers as delivering excellence and innovation to the market is an accomplishment of the highest order!”
During the press conference, Murray described LIMITROL+, its origins and availability saying, “LIMITROL+ is a patent-pending Floating Head Pressure Control System that was designed and developed at National Refrigeration by Vince Zolli and his Engineering team. Currently it is an available option on most of the systems we design, build and ship under the KeepRite Refrigeration brand name.”
When asked what sets LIMITROL+ apart, Murray explained, “What makes LIMITROL+ unique in the market is its ability to intelligently respond to ambient conditions to float head pressure without sacrificing system performance at lower temperatures. These benefits include reduced compressor energy consumption and runtime, lowered environmental impact through reduced refrigerant use and stable systems performance in lower ambients. Additionally, the EC motor technology further saves energy and reduces electrical requirements.”
Engineering Manager Vince Zolli gave an overview of the product stating, “LIMITROL+ combines various technologies into a responsive system that floats head pressure, saving energy and reduces environmental impact. Unlike competitive systems, LIMITROL+ combines variable speed EC motor technology, condenser portioning and various systems modifications to provide the ultimate in performance and control resulting in an ability to function in much colder ambient conditions where previous systems have proven ineffective.”
Murray underlined the company’s achievement with LIMITROL+ by saying, “Our team has delivered a patent pending product to market and we’re proud to have a 2015 AHR Expo Innovation Award in recognition.”
