What’s the webinar all about?
Presenter, Joe Marchese, CMS, has designed this session to give technicians the “tools” they need to understand typical defrost system designs, their importance to overall system performance, and how to troubleshoot problems that may arise.Regularly removing frost from the evaporator of a commercial refrigeration system is essential to its design. Depending on the system and its application there are several ways of removing this frost. A popular method used on medium temperature system is off-cycle defrost. On low-temperature systems many designs used electric heat for defrost. This webinar will cover the basic operation of both methods.
The following topics will be covered:
• Using a low pressure switch for off-cycle defrosting
• Using a temperature control for off-cycle defrosting
• Basic electric defrost system design used in low-temp systems
• The operation of a defrost timer and associated controls
• Troubleshooting defrost issues
